"Plenty of sliced apple, lemon and stone aromas follows through to a full body, layers of fruit and lots of cream and cooked apple. Phenolic tension too. Intense finish."

"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This wine is also outstanding and shows that a good wine with a relatively large production can be achieved. Rich black and red currant notes, charcoal, graphite and spice box are all present in this deep ruby/purple wine that is rich, pure and best drunk over the next 12-15 years. "

Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon
Knights Valley 2013
The 2013 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with vivid aromas of rich, ripe blackberry fruit, espresso, lavender and subtle licorice spice. The mouthf eel is plush with a very firm structure. This versatile wine has supple blueberry and black berry fruit notes accented by dark chocolate and a lingering, smooth finish.
To maintain the unique characteristics of the different lots from varying areas of the vineyard, each is monitored carefully through the vinification process. Extended maceration created larger tannins to enhance the lush mouthfeel of the blend and extracted a maximum of color, aromas and flavors. The wines were then aged in French oak barrels (25 percent new) for 16 months and underwent malolactic fermentation for further development of texture and mouthfeel.

"For all its plumpness, this feels sophisticated, its sense of fatness coming from abundant, perfectly ripe tannins rather than jammy, overripe fruit. Its clean, dark berry flavors are harmonious and lasting, the structure seeming at one moment supple and easy, at the next more deep and stony. Give it another five years in the bottle before pouring it with a standing rib roast."
