Award-Winning

The Albariño Laxas was awarded with the first prize in “The LI edition of Albariño wine fair”, as well as being considered as the Best Young White Wine by different guides and competitions in 2007. In this year it also obtained the “Gran Baco de Oro from the Union Española de Catadores”.

More recently, in 2010, it has been recognized with the “Baco de Oro” from the same Association, as well as being rated with 89 points by Wine Advocate, the Robert Parker publication, who also gave 90 points to Condado Laxas and 91 to Bágoa do Miño.

Since 2012, As Laxas Wine Cellars elaborates and commercializes a sparkling wine with an albariño single-variety quality: Sensum Laxas, traditionally made.

Brand's Heritage

The brand is born from the hand of Simón Ferro family who purchased these wine cellars in 1975, where wines of the County were elaborated since 1862.

At the time, the property had roughly a hectare of traditionally grown vineyard and, what began as a complementary activity to the familiar economy became over the years in a company itself, true to the vision of the family who from the beginning was enthusiastic in obtaining a premium quality white wine. Nowadays, the company is property of the founders’ four sons.

ALBARIÑO LAXAS 2016,
Rias Baixas D.O

Clear, brilliant wine, straw yellow coloured with green nuances. An intense aroma on the nose, perfectly combining the fruity and floral notes, particularly apple and stoned fruit (apricot).
Freshness on the palate typical of Albariño, with a touch of acidity perfectly balanced with the structure and body of this wine. Meaty, sweet with a crisp finish.

Wine Spectator - 90/100
