Brand's Heritage

It was in the twelfth century, at the time when the Popes were French, was born the vineyard of La Nerthe: it is confused with the appearance of the vine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the pontiffs had established their summer residence.

Undeniably known as "primus inter pares" among the Châteauneuf-du-Pape's historic estates, Château La Nerthe has always been surrounded by the most caring care of its successive owners: men of conviction, aristocrats, experts in Châteauneuf of the Pope, the Marquis Tulle de Villefranche, the Commander Joseph Ducos, the Richard family. All have worked for the Nerthe to acquire and maintain a reputation for excellence.

In the Heart of Provence

Producer of wine since the twelfth century, Château La Nerthe is located in the south-east of France, 100 km north of Marseille, in the heart of Provence, near Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Located between the cities of Avignon and Orange the vineyard allows to observe the lace of Montmirail, the Mont Ventoux but also Avignon and its famous Palais des Papes. In the heart of a region steeped in art, culture and savoir vivre, the Château lives, vibrates and is inspired by its environment. It appears as a unique, magical and unforgettable place, nestled in the heart of its green park, like an island that we discover. The castle contains its treasures in its cellars of the 16th century dug in the rock and the 18th century in vaults of warheads.

Once past the entrance of the property, we better understand the origin of the power, elegance and refinement of wines that we are about to enjoy.
